Boden holding one of the pups ever so gently! (at times he makes me nervous)

Gracyn holding her favorite little girl!
The pups are growing well, and as you can see like to sleep!  They've pretty well got it made! Eat, sleep, eat, sleep, etc....The kids enjoy checking on them all the time, and I even had to put a latch on the top of the shed door so Mr. Boden (my two year old) can't sneak in when no ones looking.  The other day I was mowing and every time I'd turn and go the other way, he'd run from the sand box and go inside the shed.  I decided it would probably be best if I locked him out unless someone was there to supervise!  He does really well with them, but he just makes me nervous!  We clipped dew claws a couple days ago, and they are healing up nicely.  Tomorrow is 1 week already, and now there's only 6 to go before they start heading home.

There hasn't been a lot of change in the first couple of days. They mostly just eat, sleep, and then eat again.  They are definitely growing!!  Belle is doing  a great job with them, and today they will get their dew claws clipped.

Pups born September 20,2013

After a long wait, the pups have finally arrived.  At about 1:30 am the first of the little ones arrived, and about 5:30 Belle had her last pups. There are 5 females and 2 males and mom and pups are doing well.  It always amazes me at how it all works!  Belle has always been my go to girl whether in the field or when it comes to making babies. Her female to male ratio still amazes me, and over the years it hasn't mattered what male I use, she's always made it easy to market the pups.  Thanks to everyone that has been waiting (some since this spring) and being patient through the whole process. The next 7-8 weeks will be here before too long, and hopefully by updating you with pics frequently the time will go even faster!
