Chase

With one little guy left for another week, the kids are enjoying their one on one time with Chase. As you can see he's enjoying it too.   I think he lives up to his name pretty well. Whether its a sock, a 3 year old, or a dummy, he loves to Chase!  I can't get over how much energy he has.  The kids and Chase played non-stop for about an hour after supper tonight!

Field Trip!

Yesterday we took the puppies on their first field trip to the veterinarian! The puppies were due for their 5 week puppy checks, and I had plenty of little helpers.  My 3 children (Boden, Gracyn, and Kinley) came along as well as my 3 nieces (Maryn, Birkley, and Laney).   At one time I think we had 9 humans and 9 puppies crammed into the exam room.   All the puppies have a clean bill of health, and "look really good," according to Dr. Kortlever.  After we got home we took down the whelping box and gave the puppies free reign of the shed.  Now they have more room to run and play which is what they need b/c they are getting to be very mischievous.   We also gave them their 5 week shots, and kennel cough.  All in all a good day for the puppies!   Maybe a little stressful, but a good day!  This week's forecast is pretty mild, and we're looking at 50 degree weather by the end of week so there should be plenty of time outdoors! 

Last night it was Cali, Gibbs, and Bella's turn to come in the house.   They were full of mischief and even the slippery hardwood floor doesn't seem to bother them anymore.   Don't mind the messy haired, runny nosed kid. She wasn't feeling the the best yesterday!   Gracyn also celebrated her 1/2 birthday in school yesterday so she was pretty excited about that!

Today we let the all the puppies outside and took a few in the house for a little while before bed time. They are really starting to explore and get more comfortable with different surroundings.   Now when we let them out or take them in their little tales wag which is a great sign that they are having fun.   The kids love having the puppies inside the house. Tonight they chose to take Rooster, Ivy, and Winnie inside the house.  Tomorrow they'll get to choose a few different ones to play with inside the house.  It's kind of fun to take them inside in smaller groups to see how they interact with the kids and react in smaller groups. Boden's favorite puppy is Rooster, and Gracyn loves her Winnie.  K.K. on the other hand loves a different one everyday!
