On Tuesday, December 8 Rosie and Woodrow had their puppies. This litter came with a little extra excitement since this was our first time having chocolates. We’ve been raising pups for nearly 15 years and never once a chocolate. I guess you could say the kids were a little extra excited and watched a little closer in anticipation. 
Rosie did awesome and had nine healthy pups. Three black females, two chocolate males, and four chocolate females.

2020 South Dakota Pheasant Hunting
A big shout out to Luke Van Den Berg for putting together these videos from our trip a couple of weeks back. It was a great trip filled with lots of laughs, many memories, and a couple of firsts. My daughter Gracyn and nephew Kole shot their first roosters on this trip. Hunting has been a passion of mine for a long time, and it's hard to put into words how much more it means when you're able to share those memories with the ones you love and pass that same passion on to the next generation. As an added bonus it's always more gratifying when you get on a bunch of birds behind a bunch of great dog work, but the memories made are the one thing that will last a lifetime! That smile at the end of the video is priceless!

Eyes open
The pups have changed a lot in the past few days. They’re walking on all fours, sitting up, and eyes are open. When someone goes into check on them they are aware of your presence. They have been introduced to the grass and of course the kids are taking them outside as often as well let them.

Puppy Update
The pups are growing fast and starting to walk around on all four. I’d anticipate some eyes opening here in the next few days. The kids are constantly bringing them in the house and snuggling with them. Yesterday was great weather so we took the opportunity to snap some photos outside.
