Here are a few pictures of the pups from the last couple of days. Two of the males went home to Tennessee this past week, and that leaves us with the 3 amigos! Birdie, Macy, and Duke are getting plenty of attention that last few days. They are starting to roam quite freely, and are getting very feisty! Anything they can sink their teeth into is fair game. They can usually be found wrestling behind the shed, but most recently have been venturing around the neighbors fence and into their backyard!

6 week pictures
So you would have thought with there only being 5 pups pictures would be easier? I'm not so sure on that one. We spent a half hour just trying to get some shots of them yesterday, and every time we thought we were ready one would jump out. In the end we got a few respectable pictures, but I think the first one we snapped is probably the best.

As you can tell the pups are in pretty good hands! Today was a beautiful day and the pups spent a good portion of the afternoon running around outside. The love to get into the landscape and tear up the grasses we planted this spring. It's a good thing those grow back every year b/c they've pretty much taken care of the for the fall! We celebrated Maddy's 16th birthday today so there were plenty of kids and visitors. I love these days where we can sit out back and just watch the pups and dogs run. As you can see from the pictures below they played hard enough that eventually they all found their spot in the yard to nap. The 3 boys ended up under the gator, Birdie plopped down in the middle of the yard, and Macy snuggled up next to the mop by the shed. That time where the pups go home is approaching way too quickly! Most of our next week's evenings will be spent enjoying the last moments we have with them!

5 weeks Old
These are a little late since yesterday was 5 weeks, but nonetheless they are pretty stinkin cute at this stage! As you can see I went with a bigger crate, but that's obviously still not big enough for them! Yesterday they got their first taste of real food, and boy did the love it. I've held them off a little longer than I usually do because of the smaller litter, and no shortage of food from mom! They are also now on wood chips vs carpet which makes clean up a little easier for me! Tomorrow they will receive their 5 weeks shots, and make a trip to the vet for a health check. Time surely does fly! It's hard to believe in only a couple weeks they will be heading home! I've really enjoyed watching them the last few days as they start to explore more and more. Everyday they have a little less fear and try something new. We've got a 12 week old male pup (Gunner) that likes to pick on them, but they are all starting to reciprocate the love. I can't wait to see their personalities start to really show in the next couple of week!

Picture Time!
The puppies had the excitement of individual pictures tonight. It' something we like to do with every litter, just so you can get a good look at each of them. There are some slight differences between them, but all in all they are a pretty beautiful/handsome bunch! Along with the individual you can see that they are growing well, and get plenty of attention. It seems like every time I turn around Boden and Kinley are sneaking puppies into the house! Kinley is into playing dolls, but the only kicker is the puppies make really good dolls in her mind! The pups are really starting to explore and check out the different surroundings they encounter. This is a week of a lot of firsts for them. First food, first shots, and first trip to the vet all in one week!

4 weeks old
It took me a few tries to get them from jumping out, but persistence pays off! They are getting too mobile, and the little shell crate is getting too small, but we made it work! At 4 weeks old they don't sit around quite like they once did. They are starting to venture out a little bit more every time we let them outside. They don't whine nearly as much and for the most part are starting to enjoy their time outdoors. It won't be long and they'll be trying to keep up with the big dogs in the back yard!

Here are a few pictures from the labor day weekend. With nice weather, the pups have spent a lot of time in outdoors and have had a ton of visitors! They are quite chunky right now, and I think we may have to make them exercise more regularly! I would say they are getting plenty of nutrition! They are starting to explore a little more every time we let them outside, and by the end of the week we'll have to keep close tabs on where they are in the yard. We will also probably start them on some solid food toward the end of the week.
